‘Gotti’ Star Passed Away At 33

The entertainment world is mourning the sudden death of actor Spencer Lofranco, best known for playing John Gotti Jr. in the 2018 biopic Gotti. He died Tuesday at 33, his brother Santino confirmed in an emotional Instagram tribute. Santino shared childhood photos and recent pictures of Spencer, writing that he changed people’s lives and will always be loved.

Authorities in British Columbia are investigating his death, and no cause has been released.

Born in Canada, Lofranco studied at the New York Film Academy and appeared in several films, including At Middleton, Jamesy Boy, Unbroken and King Cobra. His role in Gotti marked his biggest performance, starring alongside John Travolta and Kelly Preston.

In 2018, Lofranco revealed he had been homeless and living with his dog near Venice Beach. In a YouTube video from that time, he spoke openly about the difficulties of sleeping outdoors and having no privacy, which resonated with viewers.
